I have just bought a soundcard which uses the ice1724 module and had
to put the following in my .asoundrc to get optical out to work:
pcm.ice1724 {
type hw
card 0
}
ctl.ice1724 {
type hw
card 0
}
pcm.!default {
type plug
slave.pcm "spdif"
}
It works, but my question is, is it possible to add a softvol to this config? I tried copying the softvol from my old .asoundrc which used usb out but can't get it to work.
If anyone has some pointers it would be great.
