Re: Xonar has switched channels on Aux?

It's a Xonar D1.Test video used,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8ODm-F9-IM

Initial test shows Left visual goes to L speaker and Right visual goes to the R speaker.Adjusting either channel for Master Front in alsa works well. Mute L channel in alsa = only hear R speaker and vice versa. So not an issue with speakers or Master Front.

Sourcing that video from an external source via Aux with the Aux L+R channels equal, Left visual is played on the L speaker and the Right visual is played on the R speaker as expected. Adjusting Master Front works as expected. Again, not an issue with speakers/Master Front.

But, adjust L channel of Aux to zero results in the R speaker becoming mute as can be heard/seen by sounds only on Left visual and L speaker. Same for R channel -> L speaker. It makes no difference if I am using arecord or the Analog Input Monitor within alsa as both are reversed.

How can I fix this?

It's certainly possible that on your Xonar model (whatever it
is) the Aux input is miswired.

Can you check whether recording some stereo input results in
exchanged channels in the resulting file?
