hello,

i tried to make hdmi audio work on my laptop but so far i failed. hdmi
audio works fine on the same setup on windows, so it is not hw issue.
maybe someone can help me to make it work on linux.

my setup is acer aspire 8943g (gentoo linux, kernel 3.0.1, latest alsa
drivers from git, also tried kernel-provided alsa drivers) with fujitsu
p27t-6 display connected with hdmi cable. here is more info to the sound
cards and alsa:

at this link http://bbs.archbang.org/viewtopic.php?id=441 there is a
similar card that works fine.

i am complete noob to hdmi so there can be something obvious that i am
missing.

i would appreciate any help to make hdmi work for me.
