I have a Soundblaster Audigy SE (based on the CA0106 chip) and experience a very annoying bug.
I hear a clicking sound every time the a sound starts and stops. I.e. if I start to watch a movie I hear a click.
If I pause, I hear a click. If I resume, click. Stop, click again. Same with music, games,...
It's apparently not related to pulseaudio: a quick test with aplay talking directly to the sound card confirmed that.
It's apparently related to the sound level. I generated a sound sample with the following pattern:
1 - silence
2 - fade in
3 - 440Hz sine tone
4 - fade out
5 - silence
The clicks can be heard between 1 and 2 and between 3 and 4.
I tried muting every unnecessary channels, inputs,... and without success.
I attached the output of also-info.sh.
Any suggestions ?
