Then this seems to be a problem with energyXT.

It might be possible that energyXT is not configured correctly, or
that it gets confused because both devices have the same name.

This is one possible mechanism, but it is also possible for an
application to make its own ports not visible and to connect them
to other device's ports by itself.  The latter is more similar to
how things are done in Windows.
