External SB Live 24 - no sound after plugging headphones

Hello alsa-users,

I have a problem with my external SB Live! 24. I have just set it up
as my "primary" soundcard - meaning it is detected as card 0.

Everything seems to work fine, except plugging headphones:

Sound comes from 2.1 speakers, connected to "Front" jack. When I plug the
headphones in "Phones" jack, no sound comes from both speakers and headphones.
I have to mute and unmute PCM channel in alsamixer to enable the sound again.
The same happens while unplugging the headphones - no sound from speakers until
mute/unmute combo.

There is no visible difference in alsamixer upon (un)plugging the
headphones.

Some information:

~ $ aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****

$ lsusb | grep Live
Bus 004 Device 002: ID 041e:3040 Creative Technology, Ltd SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit External SB0490

The system is Debian testing with custom kernel:

~ $ uname -a
Linux knot 2.6.37-rc1-00116-g151f52f #40 SMP Sun Nov 7 10:55:12 CET 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

There is nothing interesting in kernel log.

I have no idea how to debug this and I wasn't successful with Google. Please
let me know if there is any other information I should attach.

Best regards,
