Title: Writing a ALSA driver for Audio CD

Hello,

I am new to ALSA. I would like to know how does a CDROM drive ( having an Audio CD) be treated as a ALSA device?
Do I have to write a ALSA driver for the CDROM? The CDROM has it's control/command through I2C and Audio output through
S/PDIF Channel.

Regards,
Souvik
