MSI U100 Front-Mic poor quality

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,
on my MSI U100 with:
 Debian 5.0.3
kernel 2.6.34.1 (ALSA Driver Version 1.0.22.1)
 BIOS 10G (the lastone)

module snd-hda-intel load default codec model alc1200
but I tried model=3stack,targa-dig,targa-2ch-dig without good results.

I have very poor quality in front-mic (internal-lcd) recording. When I
record with audacity (or with other programs and after edit records) I
observ following facts:

test 1
 Mixer front-mic=100% front-mic-boost=100% capture=100% record result
wave form with DC component at -1 (audacity level) so quality is very
bad, voice is cuted on negative half of the wave.

test 2
Mixer front-mic=100% front-mic-boost=100% capture=75% record result wave
form with DC component at -0.75 (audacity level) so quality is quite
good until voice level is low. Record level decreased by capture at 75%

test 3
Mixer front-mic=100% front-mic-boost=100% capture=0% record result wave
form with DC component at 0 (no DC component) with little noise, no
voice because capture at 0%

Thank you!

P.S. I don't speak english
