Nope, not fixed :(
Regardless of my config.. not with my current (which only uses SPDIF)
and not with the default.
On my notebook I use the default config (no /etc/asound.conf at all) and
I can play as many movies/mp3's ... as I want, everything fine.
alsa-info from my notebook (hda-intel as well, just different codec;
same software etc.):

And as I said, it was working fine before with the MCP55 hda-intel.
