Kernel 2.6.33.3 and "options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=0" are both
part of partial success:
with vdr + softdevice I can now hear ac3 sound via HDMI,
(dd 2.0 and dd-5.1 are audible) :-)) .

snd_pcm_open() is done with:
        "hdmi:AES0=0x02,AES1=0x82,AES2=0x00,AES3=0x02,CARD=HDMI"

PCM playback is still a nogo.
