Could you paste lspci -v output? Have you tried compiling the
snd-hda-codec-intelhdmi, and snd-hda-codec-nvhdmi modules, and loading them in
turn to see if you get a new subdevice listed as part of aplay -l output? This
may not be the case with your chipset, but it doesn't hurt to try anyway.
