upsampling to 24/192 (to an "hi-end" external DAC connected 
via I2S from a "Juli@") IME "speexrate_best" actually sounds 
even better than "samplerate_best" (subjectively speaking I 
got "smoother", less "edgy", more "natural" sound). 

Of course YMMV.
