Please don't top post on this list. I don't use skipe but maybe that the following can help you. I get problem withflash on firefox. After some time, the sound from flash was just gone. Thesolution was to use jack as sound server. Hope this can help. With that setting, I can have firefox running under days orweeks without any problem and flash is just doing fine. Another advantage isthat all the sound related programs will be using jack.
