I've got a US-122 too and the main problem I usually have is that
the above us122.rbt and tascam_loader.ihx seem to hover between
/usr/share/alsa and /lib/firmware on different systems.

Make sure the references to both in /etc/udev/rules.d/55-tascam.rules
actually exist. You probably have, but just in case. Mine works with
ALSA 1.0.18+ but both the input and output sound are a bit "crackly".
