(Sorry for possible duplicate post, but my first send was bounced)

Hallo! I have problems with capturing sound from internal microphone
on nw9440 laptop. The sound is recorded but I have very noticeable
echo/reverberation, i.e. the sound continuously echoes with decreasing
volume. I tried several model=xx options to snd-hda-intel module
(eg. modprobe snd-hda-intel model=hp) but the result is always the same.

Here's information about my card:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)
    Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 309f
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
    Memory at f7000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2
    Capabilities: [60] MSI: Mask- 64bit+ Count=1/1 Enable-
Capabilities: [70] Express Root Complex Integrated Endpoint, MSI 00
Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel
    Kernel modules: snd-hda-intel

I use 64 bit vanilla 2.6.27.6 kernel. Also I compiled and tried alsa 1.0.18a
drivers.

BTW, this is *not* because of positive feedback to internal mike. The same
happens when I plug in external microphone (and move it away from machine).
So it doesn't look like excitation due to positive feedback from loudspeaker
to microphone).

Best regards,
