Nearly all is in the subject.
Except that I'm a newbie on Linux.
Except that I'm a french guy who speak a little english.
Except that It's now nearly 2 weeks I don't succeed in hearing a single sound ...
One more thing : I'd prefer using Linux than Windows because I like Freedom, not imperialism. And Debian look great.
I've tried to follow the instructions found on : http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Module-emu10k1-fpga
But I fail ... :-(
Here is what I typed :
domp:/home/dom# modinfo soundcore
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.26-1-686/kernel/sound/soundcore.ko
alias: char-major-14-*
license: GPL
author: Alan Cox
description: Core sound module
depends:
vermagic: 2.6.26-1-686 SMP mod_unload modversions 686
domp:/home/dom# ./configure
bash: ./configure: Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type
domp:/home/dom# cd /usr/src
domp:/usr/src# mkdir alsa
domp:/usr/src# cd alsa
domp:/usr/src/alsa# cp /downloads/alsa-* .
cp: ne peut évaluer `/downloads/alsa-*': Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type
If someone could give me some help I would be so happy ... Thank's in advance.
