Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB - digital out

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello everyone!

I've got a problem with my Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB Card. I don't know how to
enable digital passthrough with this device. The card works fine with stereo
output. Maybe you can tell me what I am doing wrong.

During
speaker-test -c 6 -t wav -D iec958:CARD=Audio,DEV=0
only "front left" and "front right" can be heared. Also, when playing 5.1
DVDs with xine, there is no sound with passthrough enabled and passthrough
device iec958:CARD=Audio,DEV=0.

Some Information about my System:
==============================
kernel/alsa:
2.6.26-rc9-git12 with alsa as modules and oss completely disabled. (The
problem also occurs with other kernels e.g. 2.6.25-gentoo-r5)
