This is from dmesg: usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3 usb 3-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice input: C-Media USB Headphone Set as /class/input/input2 input: USB HID v1.00 Device [C-Media USB Headphone Set ] on usb-0000:00:0a.0-1 usbcore: registered new driver snd-usb-audio lsmod shows the snd-usb-audio is loaded. I installed alsa-driver 1.0.16 ./configure; make; make install; ./snddevices I installed alsa-lib 1.0.16 ./configure; make; make install I installed alsa-utils 1.0.16 ./configure; make; make install alsaconf did not detect ANYTHING. What might I be missing here? I had installed this same usb device in the same manner on a centos 5.1 box and it worked with 1.0.16. I am now using debian on an ebox 2300sx.
