One question.  Is there an alsa dummy driver/package that might capture this through the above methods in it's intended form?  I realize I wont hear anything locally.  But it'd be nice to capture it without distortions, so I can play it on other soundcards and machines with better soundcards.  And not loose any quality in the process.
