I've got one of those mixers and I'm pretty sure that while it provides 
microphone input it doesn't have a the high impedance input that a 
guitar needs.   When I wanted to connect my son's guitar up to the 
computer I took the line-out from his amp and put that into the mixer's 
line-in.
