To my knowledge you can not. Probably there's a command line option in
hdspmixer for that, since you can save and restore settings on the
graphical user interface. But I'm not sure about a command line option.

It's definitely not a firmware issue, I have had my Digiface for quite
some time, and it's always been like that. Probably it's a coice in
driver design.
