Hi,

I've got an AD1988B chipset on my motherboard (Asus P5B-BN).
It works fine with the alsa driver 1.0.14.
There are some feature I'd like to know if it can be done.

- Can the headphone output be on a separate stream ?
So I can watch a movie on TV and play a song on headphone, like i'll got 2
virtual sound cards. Does DMix or asound will permit this ?

- The volume of headphone and front speakers must not be interdependant.
Actually, the headphone output depends of PCM and Front speaker output.
It's difficult to get a good listenning level, have to move the 2 sliders to
adjust the volume and front speaker level is quite low compared to headphone.
Again, can I do thi with the asound file ?

Alsa seems to be very powerfull but I don't know where to start..

Thanks.
