I added it in some script from /etc/rc2.d/

Sorry, but I do not really understand what it is exactly doing. What isthe line? Reading suggestions are welcome.

Unfortunately, not for me. In order to test my microphone, I usegnome-sound-recorder with gnome-volume-control. Unfortunately, each timeI try to record something with the microphone (which worked a week ago), the microphone icons below the Capture and the Digital volume controlsget automatically crossed out.

Concerning alsamixer, I use alsamixergui or something like this, and Ijust cannot manage to raise the controls for Mic, for Mix and for Dock.
