Restore of mixer values

Greetings,

there is one issue with alsa and my Trident 4DWave NX, which plagues me
since some years. Now it is really time to ask for a solution. ;)

Playing sound results in the appearance of new channels in alsamixer,
which are not proper initialized. That must be forced with 'sudo alsactl
restore'.

Pictures are good to demonstrate problems, so i have uploaded some to
http://www.triffids.de/pub/alsa/

alsa_1.png shows alsamixer before sound is played. Between 'PCM' and
'Surround' there is only 'PCM Out'.

Closing alsamixer, starting eg dosbox and then alsamixer gives
alsa_2.png. Now there are new channels between 'PCM' and 'Sourround',
the channels 'PCM Chor', 'PCM From', 'PCM Pan' and 'PCM Reve'.

But they are not initialized to the former saved values. This must be
done with 'sudo alsactl restore'. The result ist alsa_3.png.

All three pictures together can be seen in alsa_all.png. asound.state is
the used config file.

Well, it is annoying to be forced to use alsactl. Sometimes it is even
impossible. Is there a solution for my problem?

verification of my E-Mail address. Hm. Therfore i am posting now
directly to the mailing list.
