Hi,

following problem here:

I use here a Digital Alphastation 500/333 und Debian Etch runs here on
it. The Soundhardware is a small ISA-Card (8 bit, Non-pnp) with a CS4231
chip on it. Someone called this card Microsoft Sound System. To the
parameters: 1st io=0x530, 2nd io=388, irq=9, 1st dma=0, 2nd dma=2.
This card runs under Debian Woody with the OSS ad1848 driver fine. But
not under Etch. My question is: How can i get this card with alsa
running using the snd-ad1848 driver. I tried it with modprobe and pass
the parameters manually, but i get only errors. What shall i do to get
this card running?

TIA
Roman
