Selecting the right audio card by stream?

Hello Geeks

I have a fellow who tries to turn an old computer into a vdr-box. I didn't understand all but for some reasons he has an old analogous audio-card wihtout ac3-support and a usual soundcard, which he tries to use in parallel for different purposes. He wants to use the analogous card for DVB-T and the soundcard for the rest or so. I'm shure that alsa cannot filter incoming streams for such purposes but probably one of you can send me an alsaconf (am not fit in it) that can serve the right card by checking the incoming format (should be enough for his real purposes, I'm shure of)?

Regards,
Dennis Heuer
