ALSA, Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 and Live! Drive IR

Hi!
I would like to know how to get IR working on the Live! Drive IR which came with my SB Platinum (SB0060). I was using Debian Etch, but due to some reasons I've changed to Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn).
In Ubuntu I haven't tried to configure it yet (I installed Ubuntu today), but under Debian 4.0 (Etch), I added the line "options snd-emu10k1 enable_ir=1 extin="0x3fff" extout="0x7fff"" to /etc/modutils/alsa-base and /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base files, and I didn't got any response on the /dev/snd/midiXcdX files while pushing the remote buttons.
I tested the card under Windows 2000 Professional SP3 and it worked flawless.
Could you help me?
Thanks :-)
