It seems your usb soundcard is now the first sound card in the system, so all programs like aumix will use this card settings. And if I recall older mails, usb soundcards don’t have much mixer features.

Solution: Remove all sound drivers and then load first the driver for the nvidia card and then the driver for the usb card.
