Alsaconf will configureonly the first sound card. So it is normal at the other ones just disappear. When the alsa configuration is OK but the usb cards become loaded before theemu at boot time, you can try to run "/etc/init.d/aslasound restart". It willunload all the sound related modules and reload them. If the order is correct,it mean at it is udev that load the usb sound modules before the emu and withincorrect options.
