PCM is Wave in mixer for emu10k

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I just updated my Linux kernel to 2.6.19 and whichever ALSA version is
included within. I was previously running 2.6.17 so the change described
below may have occured in 2.6.18.

Now, in the mixer there is no more PCM slider. Instead, it seems to have been
renamed Wave. There are several other PCM sliders like "PCM Front", "PCM
Surround", etc. that do not seem to have any effect.

Since most programs look for the PCM control by default, is there a userspace
way of renaming "Wave" to be "PCM"?
