Prodigy 192 - SPDIF OUT ?

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has succeeded in using SPDIF output on Audiotrak Prodigy 192 sound card. The analog outputs work OK (with a simple .asoundrc - the default ALSA configuration messes the sample rate). When switching to SPDIF (device 1, subdevice 0 according to "aplay -l"), the digital out is not activated. Connected AVR displays UNLOCKED, whereas under WinXP it detects the SPDIF "carrier". I have proceeded according to http://alsa.opensrc.org/DigitalOut .

I have been told all Envy24HT cards have the same SPDIF settings (as I assume the SPDIF output functionality is provided directly by the Envy24 chip itself). Not working for me though.

Thanks a lot for any input.
