Hmm, on XFree86.org it states:

The XFree86 Project, Inc is a global volunteer organization which
produces XFree86®, the freely redistributable open-source implementation
of the X Window System continuously since 1992.

Isn't the Xorg version e.g. Ubuntu uses? It further states:

The XFree86  list is for user help and support issues, including
installation, configuration and setup issues regardless of the hardware
or software platform.

Did I miss something?
