Yes, on the IBM mainframe we have a Unix box, it's called Unix System
Services and works just like Unix.  I am in the process of installing Oracle
10g on our mainframe, and the installation is all done form the Unix side,
which requires Xwindows.

  You want the X-server to run on the IBM mainframe?  I didn't know those
things had display hardware.

   Or do you mean you just want X libraries for that system so local apps
can display remotely.  I would have thought the OS would have come with
those.
