Is there a reason that you've set "Device" "/dev/mouse2" in the "InputDevice" section of your config? Last time I checked, VMware registered the mouse under "/dev/mouse". If that doesn't work then try setting it to "/dev/psaux".

I have recently installed VMware on to my PC, with Windows XP as the host OS. I've then installed Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 on a virtual machine and tried to install VMware Tools, but encountered a 'Fatal server error'. Please see attached log file.

Thanks
