Re: X11 without WM - avoid scrolling to virtual screen

  X-Server virtual desktops pan with mouse movement.  You seem to
be describing a window manager virtual desktop switch.  Also,
you would not get an X-server virtual desktop with the XF86Config
you showed unless your 1024x768 mode failed (would be mentioned
in the /var/log/XFree86.0.log file).
