I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 1200 Laptop and have been trying to get XFree86 working on my machine. My chipset is the Mobile Intel 910GML and the graphics card is the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900. I'm trying to get it working on the most recent version of 'woody' Debian. According to the 4.5.0 release driver page for the i810 driver, Xfree86 supports the following Intel Chipsets: i810, i810-DC100, i810e, i815, 830M, 845G, 852GM, 855GM, 865G, 915G and 915GM chipsets. (http://xfree86.org/4.5.0/i810.4.html) So my question is: Will these drivers support my chipset, or do I have to wait for the more recent ones to be released? Intel supplies drivers for the card, but they are not designed for Debian. If anyone could give me suggestions on the easiest way to get these drivers working on my machine I would be much obliged. Thank you very much for your time. -Evan McIlvride _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list XFree86@xxxxxxxxxxx http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
