Is X multithreaded by default?

Hi,

I'm running RH8.0 (still) on a machine, using the XFree86-4.2.1-23 which came with the RH distribution. Is XFree86 configured with multithreading support by default, or do I need to recompile it with multithread support myself? (Or, is there a way I can tell what options RH built XFree86 with?)

Thanks,
Brian
