consistant i830 driver crashes

I have a HP/Compaq d530C, P4-2.8GHz, 2G RAM, on-board I865 chipset. My X server will not stay running for more than 24 hours; it always locks up with the same error (see attached) I can reproduce the problem with BOTH XFre86 AND X.org. According to the logs, it is a problem with the accellerated i830 driver. I have tried different 'VideoRam' settings, with and with out the framebuffer console, to no avail.

I run Gentoo Linux, with the ck-sources 2.6.8. I have attached both the XFRee86.log and the X.org log. I have also attached dmesg output, XF86Config, and lsmod output. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

Thanks
Tim
