Mark, I installed 4.4.0 and its working great except that after logging in via the "windows" interface, i recieve an Xclient as opposed to a gnome desktop. Maybe when i said yes to overwrite config files, that messed me up?? They do a complete install. There might be other options available from your Linux distribution, however. But I don't know much about those. Mark.
