hi,
i want to run the xfree86 on our own platform, it is a mips r4X00 based cpci board with a silicon motion LynxEM+ 712 chip, and there is no bios to initialize the card, so i use the frame buffer driver provided by the Silicon Motion Inc and port some accelerating code from the xfree86 source, and the console run well.
But when i installed the xfree86, close the UseBIOS option, and run startx, error occur as the following.
i wonder if the bios is still required to run the xfree86 in this situation(without bios but partly intialized) and what can i do to solve the problem!
