There may be no hope for me on this problem with the low resolution. I have a Dell Dimension 2350 flat display, NB this is NOT a laptop though it behaves just like one. When I try to use high res modes the log shows this: " VESA BIOS detected VESA VBE Version 3.0 VESA VBE TotalMem: 832kB " Dell does have two BIOS updates, the A01 did have something about choosing video cards. I now have a choice between "Integrated" and "PCI" int the BIOS setup, Integrated being the default, but nothing on the actual amount of memory. Is there anything I can do other than get used to huge windows? ejd _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list XFree86@xxxxxxxxxxx http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
