Does anyone know how to shift the screen image of x and the tellyterminals to the right a few characters? I haven't been able to read from the command line in a while now.
I have an indigo iMac running debian and have tried to use xvidtune to no avail. It tells me that my requested mode lines are not within specifications, but for ANY change I try (right, left, up, down, etc.). I have consulted apple's web site and now I believe I have written in the correct verticle and horizontal refresh values in XF86Config.
I would really like to know how four numbers represent verticle and horizontal refresh rates in the modes section of XF86Config, and also I would like to edit text files if possible, if anyone could fill me in.
