Hi I have a problem with .Xauthority file Under debian I log in with user account I suppose a cookie is generated by the X server and the user .Xauthority file is updated The problem is that the root .Xauthority file is not updated . Therefore the DISPLAY is not positionned So I have several questions - what can I do to update root .Xauthority file automatically - where can I position the DISPLAY - about the magic cookie, how it is generated ? where does the X server store it and which process generate the .Xauthority file ? in a network are the transaction between server and client encrypted to compare the magic cookie ? if someone can take the time to help a rookie Regards Vous manquez d?espace pour stocker vos mails ?
