Those are the settings for mfb.  On ix86 (among others), IMAGE_BYTE_ORDER must
be LSBFirst;  BITMAP_BIT_ORDER, MSBFirst;  and BITMAP_SCANLINE_UNIT 8, for 1bpp
operation.  This is all set up by the xf1bpp framebuffer.  It therefore seems
likely you are using the wrong framebuffer.
