The Solaris binary dists are built with some different default settings than
most others.  I've modified the Xinstall.sh script to handle this.  You can
get the updated script from:

   ftp://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/4.4.0/Xinstall.sh

Let me know if that fixes the problem or not.
