I've only done this with Linux, not Solaris. Both the BusID values have
to be the same (which makes sense, you only have one card, right?) Everything else looks okay.

Thanks Guy,

Unfortunately naming both of the cards to 1:0:0 results in a server crash with resourse conflict (see below). I understood it so that the primary and secondary displays of 9600 (unlike some older Radeons) show as two devices. Did I understand correctly? The server totally crashes with both devices set at 1:0:0 whereas the machine is usable (although one one screen only) with different PCI locations.

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AP [Radeon 9600] rev 0,
Mem @ 0xe00
00000/28, 0xfd600000/16, I/O @ 0xa000/8, BIOS @ 0xfd500000/17
(--) PCI: (1:0:1) ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AP [Radeon 9600] (Secondary) rev 0,
Mem @ 0xd0000000/28, 0xfd400000/16

The crash resulting with setting both cards to 1:0:0 is:

With 1:0:0 for primary and 1:0:1 for secondary devices in XF86Config I get this "No matching Device" and but the server starts okay on one head:

I have had a feeling that it almost works but not quite for quite a few days now. I would be so happy if I got this machine to work dualheaded.
