XFree86 resolution problem (solved)

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

hi all,

I had compiled Xfree86
configured with XFree86 -configure
edited XF86Config to my likings
when running the server, the only available resolution was 640x480
in the log files, the problem appeared to be the horizontal sync and the vertical refresh rates that were not set.

solution to problem was:
get yr refresh rates the way they should be or the X server will fail to use your screen modes in your config-file

hope this helps anyone

Pieter
