Monitor states out of range

I have installed RedHat 9 on my Compaq Presario 6000 series pc.  I installed a fresh new install of redhat 9 with the the option....."linux lowres".  The install went fine.  At the end of the install it went through several questions about the type of video card and monitor at which point it highlights the options for you.  My video card is integrated with the motherboard.  x windows picked it up as an S3 pro savage KM133. I don't recall the monitor, but I have an Envision 17 inch monitor model EN-775e.
I proceeded to reboot the computer and now I have the same message on my screen stating its "Out of Range"  How can I boot to a normal login under redhat and rerun the X windows configuration, so that I can run at 640X480?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Jes
