I have changed some lines im my XF86Config, and therefore I am abele to get my X desktop with a resolution of 8 bit again. A look through the logfile has shown the following lines:
(II) I810(0): Will attempt to tell the BIOS that there is 8128 kB VideoRAM (WW) I810(0): Extended BIOS function 0x5f11 not supported.
It seems, the BIOS is errorneous....
Higher color depths are not possible.
So, does anyone have an idea at this stage?
