Folks: OS: FreeBSD 4.9 X : 4.3.0 HW: PPro @ 200MHz, 96MB RAM, 4 Gig HD, video card = STB Nitro 3D with 4 MB Symptomes: striking <Enter>, when in X, produces the same effect as entering Ctrl-Del-+, it causes the screen's resolution to change. I have been running FreeBSD 4.3 for over a year on this box, so I know the hardware is ok. On 4.9, I am using lesstif, not so when I ws running 4.3. HOWEVER, bringing up X, without the window manager, produces the same symptomes. Using the FreeBSD "sysinstall' utility, I have tried three different key maps, with no difference in effect: USA ISO <==> us.iso USA CAPSLOCK-CTRL <==> us.pc-ctrl no key map <==> NO The right hand side lists the value written to rc.conf. The environmental var XKEYSYMDB is set to: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XkeysysDB, which is, indeed, the file's location. At this point, I'm not sure what to do next.
